Young Life goes into the world of kids, crossing barriers to build bridges or authentic friendship.  We enter their world with no expectation of who kids should be, but with every hope for who they can become.  Young Life has been in Greenville, SC for over 50 years and we have 10 active clubs; Christ Church Episcopal High School, Christ Church Episcopal Wyldlife, Eastside High School, JL Mann High School, JL Mann Capernaum, Greenville High School, Mauldin High School, Riverside High School, Southside High School and Travelers Rest High School.

Even though Young Life is especially for kids, parents and other adults in the community are important to Young Life. Adults can support Young Life in a variety of ways — by becoming a volunteer leader or committee member, by attending a Young Life fund-raising event, by hosting Young Life or by simply telling others in the community about Young Life and its commitment to kids.

Keeping Kids Safe

An important part of our committment to kids is how we keep kids safe. Our staff and volunteer leaders know they are responsible for modeling lives of hope and integrity.

Young Life's Human Resources department has developed missionwide policies and procedures to ensure that kids are protected when they are with Young Life staff and/or leaders as well as when kids are part of Young Life'sponsored activities.

The majority or our leaders are Furman University students.  They complete the YL leader training course during their freshman year and are then placed on a YL team.  They commit to our Leadership Covenant and undergo a criminal background check before the are allowed to be leaders.
